Snoop Dogg’s venture capital company Casa Verde Capital is just one of the few companies to put $10 million into British cannabis venture Oxford Cannabinoid Technologies (OCT).

OCT, established in 2017 to showcase the medical benefits of cannabis. The research being done on these plants has now started across several new areas including treatments for cancer, pain management, neurological disorders such as Parkinson’s and MS and a range of inflammatory diseases.

According to OCT: “The capital raised (by the deal with Casa Verde Capital) will be used to establish a strategic research partnership and laboratory in Europe.

“This will support OCT’s research into the mechanisms of cannabinoids in order to develop treatments that improve the quality of life for millions of patients around the world.

“Institutional involvement in OCT adds further impetus and credibility to the fast-growing medical cannabis market.”

Snoop is taking the weed industry to the next level.
