The BIG3 is becoming an innovator in bringing CBD and Marijuana legitimacy in sports. Recently, BIG3 star Al Harrington admitted that well over 70% of NBA players use marijuana, especially in the offseason, and it made BIG3 executives change from what the NBA does with this policy.

Ice Cube’s league issued the following statement:

“The BIG3 is uniquely positioned in professional sports as a player-powered league that looks at our players as partners not property,” said league figurehead and co-founder Jeff Kwatinetz. “As a testament to our relationship with our players, we listened to their feedback on CBD, as well as feedback from professionals in the regulatory and CBD industry, and decided to take this major step to support their health.”

With this, they’re set to be the first pro sports league in North America to allow the use of CBD for pain treatment and recovery. Both the NBA and NFL have expressed an interest in doing this in the future.
